Members Help Others 2009

Missouri Credit Union’s (MCU) Fundraising Committee organizes events and activities throughout the year to benefit non-profit organizations.  Committee members include: Ashley Edler (AVP), Mary Atkisson (AVP), Larry Murphy (Downtown), Kristi Ewens (Buttonwood), Zac Fitzgerald (Crossroads), Sarah Hartley (Smiley Lane), Amanda Scheulen (Southwest), and Amanda Love (Edgewood).

In 2009, the committee will focus their efforts to assist the organizations below:

Zac Fitzgerald, Sarah Hartley, Ashley Edler, Kristi Ewens, and Mary Atkisson present a $3,000 donation from MCU members and staff to Molly Myers, Coordinator, Special Events and Children's Miracle Network	Sarah Hartley, Ashley Edler, Kristi Ewens, Mary Atkisson, and Zac Fitzgerald present a $3,000 donation from MCU members and staff to Dave Holtgraewe, United Way Director of Resource Development	Ashley Edler, Mary Atkisson, Zac Fitzgerald, Sarah Hartley, and Kristi Ewens present a $3,000 donation from MCU members and staff to Bobbie Kincaide and Mike DeSantis from Central Missouri Food Bank

Missouri Credit Union launched a new community involvement program, called Show, Share, Connect on January 5, 2009. The purpose of the program is to create the opportunity for all employees to give back to their communities. Show, Share, Connect allows employees to volunteer at non-for-profit organizations for up to eight hours a year during the work day. MCU has nearly 100 employees so we hope to contribute close to 8000 volunteer hours in 2009.

Missouri Credit Union wishes to thank all MCU members for their support in 2009! $225,627 was raised (preliminary total) in 2009.
